Pompeii and Vesuvius wine tours: 7 tastings compared
Our selection: 7 of the 150 wine tours around Pompeii and on Vesuvius listed on Viator. Each row is one named option: what the price covers, how long you get inside Pompeii, where the winery is and how you get there.
We compare seven shared departures with tasting included, ordered by our published score. Private trips and paid-extra wine stops are shown separately. Viator data from October 19, 2026.

Choose whether you want Pompeii, the crater or just the winery. Six of the seven compared options include Pompeii entry; the farm lunch doesn't visit the site. One reaches the crater: the Naples signature day.
From the gate, two days put a guided walk in Pompeii before the winery with the ticket in the price: the lunch day at €105 and the six-wine tasting in Trecase at €146, both meeting at Porta Marina Superiore. The farm lunch at €58 goes straight up the slopes from Pompei.
From Naples, the signature day adds the crater for €150; the Naples coach costs €150 with the ticket and has no crater. From Positano, Aiana includes everything for €239. From Rome, the train day at €239 ends with four wines near the park.
Four of the seven include a live Pompeii guide; the two Naples days may use an audio guide. Six include lunch; the Trecase tasting names lunch in its title but doesn't describe the meal.
The wineries sit on the slopes of Vesuvius and around Pompei; two listings name the town, Trecase. Most listings don't name the winery.
Seven wine tours around Pompeii and on Vesuvius compared by the named option: time in Pompeii, trip length, other stops, park entry, group limit, price per adult or per group as labeled, and rating.

No Pompeii visit and no vineyard walk; the 2.5 hours include the transfer, so confirm your time at the farm. Up to 50 people; the adult fare needs two travelers. What I'd do: confirm an afternoon Organic Lunch departure, then plan my morning in Pompeii.

Take the RGT - Vesuvius Crater option from Naples for 2 hours in Pompeii with a guide or audio guide, lunch with a wine tasting, then 90 minutes on Vesuvius, both tickets in the price, from €150 per person, up to 40, 8 hours. Below six travelers, the Pompeii visit uses an audio guide.
A Naples base that wants the site, the slopes and the crater in one day with nothing to buy.
Forty people on the regular option, and 90 minutes is a short crater stop; moderate fitness for the path. The departure needs two travelers from April to October and four from November to March. What I'd do: the semi-private option if the group of 40 puts me off.

A coast holiday with one day for Pompeii and a long lunch; the only main-list departure with pickup in Positano.
The highest price in the main list, and two of its hours are at the winery rather than in the park. Two people minimum on the single fare band. What I'd do: this one if I slept in Positano and wanted lunch included.

Pompeii and Vesuvius wine tours: which others did we compare?
Beside the selection: the private Bosco de Medici estate experiences and four private days with an archaeologist or a driver, where the tasting or lunch may be paid on the spot.
Also beside it: the Naples vineyard lunch, below our second rating rule on Viator, and the Amalfi Coast day whose Pompeii walk is described as private on a shared product. Each has its own page.
Ten wine tours around Pompeii and on Vesuvius listed beside the selection, compared by the named option.

Pompeii Vineyard Escape: Private Wine Tasting & Lunch: Private estate tasting and lunch. A private tour of the Bosco de Medici estate close to the site, with a tasting of three wines, food and lunch, 2 hours, from €55 per person, starts between 12:30 and 14:30; you get yourself there. Beside the list because it is private and has no Pompeii or transport.
Explore Pompeii: Private Tour, Wine Tasting & Lunch: Private walk and estate lunch. A private 2-hour walk with a licensed guide from Porta Marina Superiore at 9:30, then a one-way transfer to the Bosco de Medici estate for the vineyard, the cellar, a tasting and lunch, 4 hours, from €95 per person; the park ticket isn't included. Beside the list because it is private.
From Vineyard to Table: Wine Tasting & Neapolitan Lunch in Pompei: Private estate tasting, six wines. A private visit of the Bosco de Medici estate with a tasting of five wines and one sparkling and a Neapolitan lunch, 2 hours, from €85 per person, starts at 11:30, 12:00, 13:00 or 14:00; no transport, no Pompeii. Beside the list because it is private.
All Inclusive Pompeii, Vesuvius, wine tasting & light lunch: Private day, both tickets and wine. A private vehicle from Sorrento, Naples or the Amalfi Coast with a licensed guide for 2 hours in Pompeii, an hour on Vesuvius and 90 minutes at a family vineyard with a tasting and light lunch, both entries in the price, 7 to 9 hours. From €270 per person with Sorrento pickup, or €288 from Naples and the Amalfi Coast
Pompeii: Pool & Wine Escape: Estate pool and wine. Pool access at the Bosco de Medici estate among the vines, with wine, from €155 per person. The activity describes a lunchtime tasting with a meal, while the inclusions name dinner; the listed starts run 10:00 to 12:30 and 19:00 or 20:00
Pompeii, Herculaneum and Winery on Vesuvius with an Archaeologist: Two sites, private guide, winery extra. A private day with an archaeologist guide in Pompeii and Herculaneum, with lunch at the Cantina del Vesuvio winery in between, €890 per group for up to 7, 8 to 9 hours, pickup in the Naples or Sorrento area. Beside the list because it is priced per group; admission costs extra, the winery lunch is paid on the spot, and you should ask how to buy the park tickets.
Private Pompeii Tour with Archaeologist & Winery on Mt Vesuvius: Private Pompeii walk, winery paid separately. A private walk with an official guide in Pompeii with the skip-the-line ticket in the price, then a reserved wine experience on Vesuvius where lunch is paid on the spot, 4 to 7 hours, €142 per person. Beside the list because it is private and the lunch isn't in the price.
Pompeii, Mt Vesuvius and Wine Tour: Private day, €50 tasting extra. A private minivan from Naples, Sorrento or Positano with a 2-hour Pompeii guide, 2 hours on Vesuvius and an hour at a winery, 7 to 8 hours, €130.68 per person; the tasting and lunch cost €50 per person and the entry tickets are extra. Beside the list because it is private and the wine isn't in the price.
Scenic Wine Tasting & Lunch on the Slopes of Vesuvius from Naples: Naples vineyard lunch; lower Viator rating. Meet outside the main entrance of the hotel named on your booking for a bus to the vineyards: a guided walk through the vines and a full Mediterranean lunch with local wines, back in about 4 hours; no crater, no Pompeii. The note gives 11:45, the overview 11:00 to 11:30: confirm the time
Pompeii & Vesuvius with Lunch & Wine Tasting from Amalfi Coast: Coast pickup, crater and Casa Setaro. Pickup on the Amalfi Coast, 2 guided hours in Pompeii, 2 hours on Vesuvius and 80 minutes at the Casa Setaro winery in Trecase with lunch, both entries in the price, €239 per person; 8 to 9 hours. Beside the list because the transport is shared with up to 12 while the Pompeii stop describes a private walk; ask whether the guide is private to your booking.
Can I do Pompeii and a winery without a tour?
Pompeii on your own, an estate visit booked separately
€20 park entry; €25 with the villa; the tasting and transport extra
Book the named Pompeii ticket on Vivaticket; the morning places can be gone on the day.
Circumvesuviana to Pompei Villa dei Misteri for Porta Marina, or Pompei Santuario for the Amphitheatre gate; no re-entry once you leave.
Book an estate visit separately: beside the list, Bosco de Medici near the site lists a tasting and lunch without transport; a taxi gets you there.
Keep the park's 2 to 3 hours minimum for the site, and the afternoon for the table.
from €58 per person; seven shared departures, Pompeii on six, lunch on six, the meal to confirm on one
A guided walk in Pompeii with the ticket in the price on six of the seven; the farm lunch skips the site. The two Naples days may use an audio guide.
Transport to the wine stop is included. The Naples signature day names a restaurant; it doesn't establish a winery visit.
Back in 2.5 hours from the farm, 4.5 to 9 hours on the days with Pompeii.
What I'd do: the tour if I wanted the walk, the winery and the transport in one booking; on my own only with a car or a taxi for the estate.
Park tickets and directions: Archaeological Park of Pompeii.
What should I check before booking?
Is lunch in the price?
Six main-list trips explicitly include lunch. The seventh, the Trecase tasting, has lunch in its title but doesn't describe the meal in its inclusions; six wines and two liqueurs are included.
Beside the list, the private Bosco de Medici experiences include lunch; the pool day names dinner while its activity describes a lunchtime meal. On two private days the lunch is paid at the winery, and on one the tasting and lunch cost €50 per person extra.
What I'd do: read the inclusions line on the tour page before counting on a meal.
Is the Pompeii ticket in the price?
Six of the seven compared options include Pompeii entry; the farm lunch doesn't visit the site. On the Naples coach only the option that says Ticket includes it. None of the six names the Pompeii ticket type; ask which ticket you receive if you want the Villa of the Mysteries.
Where you buy your own, the park's €20 ticket covers the city and the €25 one adds the Villa of the Mysteries: park ticket table, prices in force since January 12, 2026.
What I'd do: a named ticket on Vivaticket for any option that leaves it to me.
Where are the wineries?
On the slopes of Vesuvius and around Pompei. Two listings name Trecase; the coast day names Casa Setaro there. The Positano day goes to the Cantine del Vesuvio; the two private days with an archaeologist name the Cantina del Vesuvio; the Bosco de Medici estate, beside the list, sits close to the site, per its listing.
The Naples signature day names a local restaurant, not a winery visit. Most other listings don't name the winery.
What I'd do: not choose by the winery's name; choose by the day around it.
Which one from Naples?
Two shared days at the same €150 starting price. The signature day adds the crater and includes both tickets, 8 hours, up to 40 people. The coach has no crater, 6 to 7 hours, up to 30.
On both, Pompeii is with a guide or an audio guide: the signature day switches to audio below six travelers; the coach doesn't fix it. Confirm your pickup time and, on the coach, the order of visits.
What I'd do: the signature day for the crater; the coach if I wanted the shorter day.
Which one if I'm already in Pompei?
The two TASTETHEXPERIENCE days meet outside Hortus Restaurant by Porta Marina Superiore: the lunch day at €105 and the six-wine tasting at €146, both with the ticket and 2 guided hours. The farm lunch at €58 meets at Caffetteria Magma and skips the site.
What I'd do: the lunch day; the tasting if the wines are the point, after asking what food comes with it.
Can I visit a winery without a tour?
The estates sell their own visits: beside the list, Bosco de Medici lists a private tasting and lunch from €55 and a fuller visit with six wines from €85, with no transport, and a pool day with wine from €155.
You reach the estate yourself; the stored options don't include pickup. These are still organized visits booked separately.
What I'd do: Pompeii on my own ticket in the morning, a taxi to the estate for lunch.
What about Vesuvius?
One main-list day reaches the crater: the Naples signature day, with 90 minutes listed for Vesuvius and the crater ticket in the price.
Beside the list, the private all-inclusive day and the Amalfi Coast day include the crater ticket; two private days stop at a winery on the slopes and say they don't reach the top.
What I'd do: a wine day for the table and a separate crater morning with the park's ticket.
What do these days cost?
€58 for the farm lunch, €105 and €146 for the two days from the gate, €150 for either Naples day with the ticket, €239 from Positano or from Rome.
Beside the list: the estate experiences €55 to €155 per person; the private days €95 to €288 per person, or €890 per group for up to 7.
Extras on the private days: €50 or €60 for the winery lunch on the two-site day, €55 or €65 at the winery on the private Pompeii walk, €50 for lunch and tasting on the Naples minivan day; tickets extra where the page says so. Viator data from October 19, 2026.
What I'd do: compare the total with lunch and the ticket counted.
Tour conditions: Viator data from October 19, 2026. Park rules: Archaeological Park of Pompeii, checked .
How were these tours chosen?
Viator lists 150 wine tours around Pompeii and on Vesuvius. Twenty clear 4.5 stars and 30 reviews combined; one of them, the Naples vineyard lunch, is below 4.5 on Viator alone and sits beside the selection.
We compare seven shared departures with the tasting included, ordered by our published score. Private trips and paid-extra wine stops are shown separately, as is the coast day whose shared transport and private Pompeii walk need clarifying.
Excluded: a horse ride with a glass of wine, and two private Sorrento days we did not duplicate beside the list. How tours are compared.
