What should I know before booking?
- Meet by Piazza del Popolo's lion fountain. Return is to nearby Viale Washington.
- Shared options don't include hotel pickup; the private options require your accommodation details.
- Supply every traveler's name at booking for Vesuvius entry; bring ID for children under 18.
- You need moderate fitness; the steep crater hike needs good fitness. This trip isn't recommended for poor cardiovascular health.
- Weather can close the crater trails and change the route; too few bookings can cancel departure.
