Is this tour right for you?

Choose "Premium: Driver+Guide+Tickets" for a licensed guide inside Pompeii. This private minivan day lasts 8–9 hours. The cheaper Standard option leaves out the Pompeii guide.

The guided city visit lasts 2 hours before the coastal drive. Ravello has about an hour of free time, with other coastal stops along the route. Lunch and admission to Ravello's villas cost extra.

The included Pompeii ticket covers the city and excludes the Villa of the Mysteries. Agree your pickup and the balance of coastal stops before booking. The separate family option targets children aged 6 to 11.

What I'd do: choose Premium and use the Ravello hour for the town unless you prefer a paid villa visit.

Chiara VitaleWrites pompeii.day

I grew up in Castellammare di Stabia, under the volcano, and spent six seasons on hotel front desks in Sorrento. Which ticket, which train, which gate, how many hours: I've answered these more times than I can count.

Now I live in Pompei, ten minutes on foot from the Amphitheatre gate, and I go into the site most weeks on a MyPompeii card. For this page I compared the options and booking terms with the park's rules. I haven't taken this trip. Report a correction.
