Is this tour right for you?

Choose the option ending 'including 2 hrs stop in Pompeii'. It fits if you're leaving Positano for Naples. This private transfer is one way.

Your Pompeii stop lasts 2 hours in total. You explore on your own with a map and guidebook from the driver. Private transport and bottled water are included; entry and a guide cost extra.

Give your accommodation address and pickup time when booking. Pickup or drop-off in Montepertuso or Nocelle costs extra. Lunch isn't included.

What I'd do: book the Pompeii-stop option for the transfer to Naples and buy entry separately.

Chiara VitaleWrites pompeii.day

I grew up in Castellammare di Stabia, under the volcano, and spent six seasons on hotel front desks in Sorrento. Which ticket, which train, which gate, how many hours: I've answered these more times than I can count.

Now I live in Pompei, ten minutes on foot from the Amphitheatre gate, and I go into the site most weeks on a MyPompeii card. For this page I compared the options and booking terms with the park's rules. I haven't taken this trip. Report a correction.
