Is this tour right for you?

Meet at the entrance to Pompei Villa dei Misteri station with the EXPLORE sign. The walk covers the Forum and ancient streets, with shops and houses along the route. Guiding is included; entry and lunch are extra.

Budget separately for park entry. The city ticket is €20 at park prices effective January 12, 2026 and checked September 18. The older €15 figure attached to this tour is out of date.

I grew up in Castellammare di Stabia, under the volcano, and spent six seasons on hotel front desks in Sorrento. Which ticket, which train, which gate, how many hours: I've answered these more times than I can count.

Now I live in Pompei, ten minutes on foot from the Amphitheatre gate, and I go into the site most weeks on a MyPompeii card. For this page I compared the options and booking terms with the park's rules. I haven't taken this trip. Report a correction.
