Is this tour right for you?

It sits beside the list because it is private. At €30 per person it starts below two of the shared walks, with entry extra.

The route is long: the Forum Baths, the Wooden Partition, Neptune and Amphitrite, the House of the Deer, the Samnite House, the boat pavilion, the College of the Augustales and the House of the Black Hall, with an optional visit to the Antiquarium.

Up to 10 per booking. Wheelchair accessible; this walk isn't recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health.

What I'd do: price my whole party before comparing this with a shared walk, and add the €16 entry each.

Chiara Vitale Writes pompeii.day

I grew up in Castellammare di Stabia, under the volcano, and spent six seasons on hotel front desks in Sorrento. Which ticket, which train, which gate, how many hours: I've answered these more times than I can count.

Now I live in Pompei, ten minutes on foot from the Amphitheatre gate, and I go into the site most weeks on a MyPompeii card. For this page I compared the options and booking terms with the park's rules. Report a correction.
